This interactive program helps participants strengthen their professional presence, improve communication skills, and create meaningful connections that open doors to career and business opportunities.

Facilitated by Andy Thibodeau and Rita Dale, the program draws on Andy’s decades of leadership training—particularly his “Can I Count On You?” reliability framework and the core messages of his Courage of Compassion presentation—combined with Rita’s real-world experience as a professional navigating career integration in Canada.

Andy Thibodeau is an award-winning speaker, leadership trainer, and community builder whose passion for connection, appreciation, and enthusiasm has inspired audiences across North America for more than three decades.

In 2014, Andy was named Alumnus of the Year by King’s University College at Western University (London, Ontario), where he was famously described as the “Most School-Spirited Graduate Ever.” That spirit for leadership and service began early - starting as a 13-year-old student council vice-president, growing into high school student body president, and later leading one of Canada’s largest university Orientation Week programs.

Andy’s career is rooted in a simple but powerful idea: the Courage of Compassion. From organizing pep rallies in high school, to creating welcome events at university, to leading community initiatives through his place of worship and fundraising efforts for local charities, Andy has always believed that leadership should be energetic, inclusive, and people-focused. That belief eventually evolved into a full-time career delivering high-impact leadership and inspiration programs to students and professionals.

Since 1992, Andy has presented thousands of high-energy, laughter-filled, and deeply relatable presentations to schools, organizations, conferences, and community groups across North America. More than two million people have experienced Andy’s IMPACT Presentations in all 10 Canadian provinces and 40 U.S. states. His programs span all grade levels, post-secondary institutions, non-profits, and professional organizations—making him one of the most versatile speakers in his field.

Andy’s presentations are known for their unique blend of comedy, real-life storytelling, audience interaction, and practical leadership tools. His international speaking experience, ability to personalize every session, and unmistakable high-energy delivery ensure that no two presentations are ever the same—and that every audience feels seen, valued, and motivated.

The years 2020 to 2022 added a powerful new chapter to Andy’s leadership story. When the pandemic halted in-person events, Andy went 27 months without a live presentation and was forced to reinvent himself professionally—four times over. He worked a nine-month full-time contract at Costco, gaining firsthand experience as a “50-Year-Old Retail Rookie” on the front lines during the early months of the crisis. He transformed his basement into a video studio, converting all of his programs into virtual and on-demand formats. In January 2022, he worked 22 of 27 days at the largest COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Southwestern Ontario, and later that spring served as a supply teacher across all grade levels, filling in during a significant teacher shortage.

These experiences profoundly deepened Andy’s insights into resilience, adaptability, frontline leadership, and managing change—lessons that now form a powerful part of his professional programming. By May 2022, Andy returned to in-person stages and has since resumed full-time speaking across North America.

Andy lives in his hometown of London, Ontario, with his two teenage daughters.

Andy’s IMPACT keynotes and workshops are part pep rally, part comedy show, part inspirational keynote, and part hands-on leadership training—designed to energize audiences while delivering meaningful, practical takeaways.

Andy is thrilled to be joined in upcoming leadership and communication training programs by his life partner, Rita Dale, a pharmacist celebrating 20 years in Canada. Together, they bring a powerful blend of professional expertise, real-world experience, and heartfelt storytelling to programs focused on leadership, communication, and appreciation.

Event Facilitators: Rita Dale

Rita Dale is a native of Oradea, Romania, and a graduate of Vasile Goldis University in Arad, where she earned her degree in Pharmacy. After practicing as a pharmacist for nine years in Europe, she immigrated to Canada in 2005.

Arriving with English as her third language, Rita embraced the challenge of building a new life and career. Her first roles in Canada included working as a sales assistant in a chocolate store, a retail assistant at Zehrs, and later as a pharmacy assistant.

In 2009, she became fully licenced with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.

Over the past 15 years, Rita has served the Stratford, Ontario community as a pharmacist with Zehrs and Shoppers Drug Mart. Today, she brings nearly three decades of customer service and pharmacy experience to her role at Hubbard’s Pharmacy, an independent pharmacy located in downtown St. Marys.

Rita is passionate about supporting newcomers to Canada and is thrilled to share her professional expertise and lived experience as a foreign-trained professional adapting to a new country through this special program for new Canadians.

I knew it was a tall task to ask a group of 350 professionals to leave their inhibitions at the door and step into a time machine back to being a kid at summer camp for the day for our annual company meeting, but our event surpassed all expectations and that was largely due to Andy!

We brought on Andy because of his experience founding and running summer camps, thinking he could share his insights with our teams, and he truly made our participants feel like they were at camp. Andy was able to seamlessly weave himself into our program - sharing what camp means, his own personal stories to build community and trust, and transporting us all back to childhood with short, fun activities that kept the day flowing and helped time fly by, all while learning a thing or two.

Before the day started the cynic in me wondered if we could convince adults ranging in ages from 18 to 80 to pretend to be an elephant, chant in another language, or “make it rain” with just their hands and feet, but as I looked around the room during each of these activities, led by Andy, I saw people grinning from ear to ear, as the room filled with genuine laughter, awe and wonder, and I witnessed moments of connection.

These doctors and other health care workers forgot to be embarrassed, afraid, or too cool for school – they let their guard down and had fun while connecting and growing together, which is exactly what our day is about.

If you need to know how to build a connection – Andy is absolutely your guy. I highly recommend him to anyone, no matter the age, background, or occupation of your attendees.
