I want to thank you again for the incredibly entertaining and powerful talk you
did at Bogart today. As you noticed I was laughing so hard that it brought me to
tears of laughter. Your charisma is an inspiration, your words were so relatable
to kids and you truly have a gift. What a model you are to our students.
Reactions from staff and students (even our grades 7 & 8 students) were nothing
but positive and in fact many raved about your presentation. I wish I could hear
you speak again very soon!

We really appreciated your work at last week's assemblies! It was a great way
for
us to end the first week of school on a high note.
Speaking with a lot of students and staff, they really enjoyed your humour and
personal stories......best of all, the "key messages" seemed to stick with them.
The "Share Your Care
" theme appears to be gaining momentum around the school and we
are strongly considering using it as our theme for the year. (last year's catch
phrase was, "What makes a great school.....the people inside!") A couple of
staff members even commented that you were the best speaker that we've had in
years.

Three staff members said it was the best presentation that the school has ever
had. 5 staff members said that it was a message that the kids could understand.
Principal commented that your message was loud and clear and he liked it that
you kept re-stating the theme over and over. Middle school students need that!
Librarians commented that they liked the energy and the topic.
Students: I spoke with about 15 students just to hear some thoughts. Everyone
was positive! I had my meeting with my 8th graders this morning they said that
it really helped them think about what they were going to do in high school.
Personally, I thought the presentation was great and I know that it was a
difficult format with 900 kids age 11-14 in one room. That's tough but I thought
you did great and they were really listening. My favorite part; however, was the
leadership seminar at the end. I think that is where we can make the biggest
impact in our school is by teaching these students how to spread their
initiative and creativity...their "CARE".
