Andy’s Background
|
Ø
Born, attended
school, and still lives in his old neighbourhood in London, Ontario,
Canada. For his American friends, London is a two hour drive east of
Detroit and a 2 hour drive west of Buffalo, NY.
Ø
High school
Student Council President, football & track athlete and class
valedictorian. Andy was named the Ernie McTavish Award winner as the top
graduate of ’89 for his contributions to the school and community. Under
his guidance, his school was crowned Canada’s most spirited high school of
1989 in the MOGA (Most Outrageous Group Activity).

Dean’s Honour
List graduate in history from King’s College at the University of Western
Ontario in 1993. He was an orientation week leader for 3 years, acting as
the coordinator in ’92, and was named most spirited male graduate of 1993.

high school, Laurier in London, Ontario, named him the “Inspiring
Excellence” award winner as its most outstanding graduate since 1966! See

Through his hilarious comedy
and true-life stories, Andy delivers a message that everyone can relate
to. His presentations are unique due to his international experience and
high-energy style. His message is complemented by his experiences as a
leader in high school & university, as a past director of a leadership
camp, and his active community involvement.

In February
2006 Andy helped lead a team of 17 volunteers from his church to rebuild
homes in the hurricane ravaged Mississippi Gulf Coast. For Andy’s blog on

In the summer
of 2003 Andy & his wife went on a mission trip to Kenya, Africa to
visit
the child they sponsor. This was organized with Compassion Canada, an
international Christian Child sponsorship organization.

Active in the
London, Ontario community with organizations such as the Terry Fox Run to
beat cancer, Easter Seals for disabled kids, South London Neighbourhood
Community Centre, Cystic Fibrosis Society, the University of Western
Ontario, King’s College, Laurier SS, Hugh O’Brien Youth Foundation, Rotary
Youth, the Clan Ross Scottish Society and Chalmers Presbyterian Church.

about leadership, caring and community involvement because he is a caring
leader involved in his community!
Ø
Married his
best friend Elizabeth in 1998. She is a high school French teacher now on
extended leave. She is taking care of the love of their life, a baby girl
named Torry, born June 4, 2005.

has been to over 2000 junior & senior high schools, conferences,
universities & colleges in every Canadian province and 38 states!

Ever year, over
105 schools, over 40 youth leadership conferences, plus 50 or more
university, college, camp, and community organizations are inspired by Andy!
Ø
He has appeared
at all 10 provincial student leadership conferences & 34 state
conferences! Andy has appeared at two US national youth leadership
conferences and eight Canadian national student leadership conferences.
